Why your gift matters

A mother reaches out. We answer — free, in any language she speaks.

Kassy's Kause was founded after Susan Aguayo lost her 21-year-old daughter Kassy on March 22, 2015. Kassy was four months pregnant. Out of that loss came a small New Mexico nonprofit committed to one thing: no mother in Bernalillo, Sandoval, or Valencia county should face perinatal grief or maternal mental health crisis alone.

We hold a virtual support group capped at nine for safety. We run a free weekly Pregnancy & Infant Loss group. We do intake assessments with two-week follow-ups. We make doula and lactation referrals. We host the annual MMH Summit. And we never send a bill — not to a grieving mother, not to a family in crisis, not to anyone.

Ways to give

Every gift becomes a free program.

However you choose to give, your contribution funds counseling, support groups, intake assessments, Spanish-language access, and the documentary used to train clinicians across the state.

One-time gift

A single contribution of any amount goes directly to programs. A $50 gift covers materials for one intake. A $250 gift sponsors a month of the weekly Pregnancy & Infant Loss group.

Monthly partner

Sustained monthly giving is the steadiest support we receive. A recurring gift means a mother who calls in May knows the group will still be running in November.

Vehicle donation

Donate a car, truck, motorcycle, RV, or boat — running or not. The proceeds fund our programs and the donation is tax-deductible. We handle pickup and paperwork.
