Kassy's Kause walks alongside mothers and families through perinatal depression, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. Every program is free. We speak Spanish.
On March 22, 2015, Susan Aguayo lost her twenty-one-year-old daughter Kassy. Kassy was four months pregnant, recently married, and had no history of depression. The signs of perinatal depression — the insomnia, the bloody noses, the scattered emotions — had been there. No one had named them for her.
Kassy's Kause grew out of that silence. Susan founded the organization later that same year so that no other mother in New Mexico would have to wonder why she didn't feel the way pregnant women are "supposed" to feel.
